Stancz is a dance formation app: it places dancers on a to-scale stage and animates the move from one formation to the next. You draw formation 1, then formation 2, and the app computes each dancer’s path between them, locked to your music. You watch the result as a plan (2D), in volume (3D) or from a seat in the audience. Dance teachers, choreographers, cheer coaches, K-pop crews, majorette teams and musical theatre directors use it to catch crossings before the first rehearsal.

No. Stancz does not handle enrolment, class schedules, student invoicing or attendance. It works on the stage: placing dancers, chaining formations, timing transitions to the music and checking the view from the house. A studio usually runs management software for the admin side and Stancz to prepare the recital.

Yes, the Stancz timeline locks each formation to the imported music: you place the position changes on the counts, and playback shows dancers moving in time. A media track programs the backdrop images and videos, cue by cue, for the LED screen. The audience view replays everything, dancers and screen, before the first rehearsal.

Yes, Stancz works as a cheer formation app, a K-pop formation app and a majorette blocking tool as well as for stage dance: a formation is drawn the same way whatever the style. A K-pop routine chains dozens of fast position changes; cheer needs exact spacing on the mat; majorettes march in figures. In all three, the animated transitions show the crossings and the audience view shows the alignment, before rehearsal.

Your choreographies stay open. Stancz never deletes or locks work you have already done when a subscription ends: you go back to the free plan limits (3 choreographies, 6 formations per choreography) for new creations. The one-month trial and the Pro subscription are cancelled from your App Store or Google Play account, in two taps, without emailing us.

Yes, Stancz opens in the browser on Windows, macOS, Linux and Chromebook, with nothing to install. Your choreographies are saved online and follow you across devices with the same account: you block the show on the office computer and open it on your phone in the studio. The 3D view needs a recent browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari).

Yes, the Stancz app is on Android (Google Play) and is coming to iPhone and iPad, with the same choreographies as the web. In rehearsal, Present mode shows the formation full-screen to the team; Follow mode puts a halo on one dancer’s dot so they learn their spot; a loupe follows your finger while you drag, down to the centimetre. The layout is built for portrait and for fingers.

You share the choreography with your team from Stancz: each dancer opens the formations and transitions on their phone and can follow their own dot in Follow mode. In an organisation, members work in the same workspace with distinct roles. The choreography also exports as a `.stancz` file, to re-import on another account or keep as a backup.

Not today: Stancz exports no PDF, image or video. It exports the whole choreography as a `.stancz` file that re-imports into the app. To hand over a choreography, team sharing and Present mode replace the printed sheet: dancers watch the transition play, not a frozen picture of the formation.

Yes, Stancz lets you make a dance stage plot online, free for up to 3 choreographies. You enter the stage dimensions (say 10 m by 6 m), the upstage and downstage markers are set, and every formation becomes a to-scale stage plot. Unlike paper, the move from one plot to the next is animated, and the 3D view shows what the audience will see from the house.
